Accreditation

The Learning Collaborative is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, a 25 year program which offers “a national, voluntary accreditation system to set professional standards for early childhood education programs, and to help families identify high-quality programs.” Of the many preschool programs in Mecklenburg County, only 13 have gone through the extensive assessments required to achieve certification. There are only 125 accredited programs in North Carolina.

This year TLC was re-certified as a high quality preschool earning our renewal of the 5-star Rating issued by the NC Division of Child Development. We are one of 118 5-star programs in Charlotte.

The Learning Collaborative has four classrooms, two preschool classrooms and two Pre-K classrooms. Enrollment in each classroom is 16 children with one teacher and one assistant teacher.

The Learning Collaborative is a 501(c)3 organization.
